Desireless, who celebrates her 71st birthday this Monday, December 25, made a whole generation of young people dance with his title “Voyage, voyage”. At the time, his interpretation and his look had a huge impact. She wore her blond hair in a crew cut and was dressed head to toe in black. And to perfect her image, Desireless, whose real name is Claudie Fritsch-Mentrop, relied on deep makeup based on black eyeliner.
The success of this song will make her an international star with this title alone. Since then, the singer has released numerous records and titles which have had varying degrees of success. The last – Journey with Operation Of The Sun – date 2022. After several years of discretionshe returned to the stage in 2008 in the tour Stars 80, alongside other singers of the time. Desireless walked away from the stage
If the singer has long since swapped her crew cut for a short cut and her black clothes with colorful outfits, Desireless has never talked too much about her private life. We only know that she had a daughter, Lili, in 1990, and that she, at the time, chose to take a break for a few years to enjoy her child. His return will ultimately be very brief. The reason ? Less than ten years after the success of “Voyage, voyage” and a year after returning to the forefront following the birth of her daughter, she chose to move away from the capital to live among olive trees in the Drôme Provençale. A few weeks ago, her friend Sloane gave her news on the show At the house of Jordan Luxurybroadcast on C8 and they were not very good: “She has difficulty walking because she had hip surgery and it didn’t go well”she indicated, before confiding: “She cut everything off, she got really fed up. She’s an artist who’s missing in France. But she doesn’t want to hear about this profession anymore.” A possible return to the stage of the artist seems more than compromised.
