Seven years after the last film in the franchise, Gru is back for a new family adventure in Despicable Me 4. The feature film, which is expected in theaters on July 3, 2024, is revealed today in a first colorful trailer.
A new threat
Despicable Me 4 will allow fans of the saga to find Gru, Lucy and their daughters, Margo, Agnes and Edith. They begin a new chapter in their family life with the arrival of a new member, little Gru Jr., who is determined to make his daddy see all the colors.
But Gru will also have to face new adversaries: Maxime Le Mal and his girlfriend Valentina, dubbed in the original version of the film by Will Ferrell (Anchorman) and Sofia Vergara (Modern Family). To protect themselves, Gru’s family is forced to flee.

Other new characters, played by Joey King (Bullet Train), Stephen Colbert (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert) and Chloe Fineman (Saturday Night Live) in original version, will also appear in this fourth film.
The French version of Despicable Me 4 is still carried by Gad Elmaleh, while Pierre Coffin will be back to lend his voice to the Minions in VO and VF.

Never change a winning team
Despicable Me 4 is a feature film co-directed by Chris Renaud (Despicable Me, Like animals) and Patrick Delage (Despicable Me, All on stage), and produced by Illumination and Universal studios. Writing, we find Mike White, creator of the series The White Lotusand Ken Daurio, already screenwriter of the three other opuses in the saga.

The trilogy Despicable Me and the two films Minions have grossed over $3.7 billion worldwide, making it the highest-grossing animated film franchise at the global box office.
