Despite the 2-G rule – the Upper Austrian Football Association continues the championships

Despite the introduction of the 2-G rule, the 38 outstanding championship games will still be played, so only vaccinated or recovered athletes are allowed to play.

At the clubs there was great chaos and guesswork on Monday – due to the increasing numbers, there are again tightening not only for the footballers in the Upper Austrian lower house! In view of the 2-G rule in amateur sport, Carinthia’s football association has already canceled the championships from the 4th league downwards and postponed the remaining games to spring!

The OÖFV, on the other hand, decided on Tuesday to play the 38 fighting team games still outstanding in the autumn season under the new legal framework. This means that only those who have been vaccinated and recovered can take part in championship games. “Ensuring a rating as soon as possible was the main goal of all those involved,” says OÖFV President Gerhard Götschhofer.
