According to the report, actor Winfried Glatzeder (79), an ex-camper who was mercilessly discredited by many fans of the format, will celebrate his comeback. The reason was an alleged physical attack that he had allowed himself during the eighth “IBES” season that aired in 2014. Glatzeder, who finished the season in fifth place, clashed with the then 21-year-old young model Larissa Marolt (31). Because she wiped her hand on his shirt, he hit the model on the arm and also pushed her, as RTL itself summarized. Marolt then said: “I thought he was going to knock me out!”

The incident didn’t hurt Marolt, on the contrary: she ended up in second place; Melanie Müller (35), who had now fallen massively out of favor, won.

However, the filming is not taking place in Australia, where the jungle camp usually takes place. Instead, the setting for the special edition is South Africa, more precisely the Swadini National Park at the Blyde River Canyon.
