Expected by fans since season 1, the Trix are one of the big absentees from the Destiny series: The Winx Saga. But a hint at the end of season 2 suggests that they could land in a potential season 3. Warning, spoilers.

The fairies of Destiny: The Winx Saga had an explosive return to Netflix with a second season even darker than the first. In these new episodes, the young magicians had to fight against bloodthirsty wizards and power-hungry creatures.
Fortunately for them, Bloom and her friends were able to count on significant support and a remarkable arrival at Alfea: that of Flora, a character long awaited by fans! Only Tecna remains, the last of the original Winx, who is still missing.
Other iconic characters are also absent from the original Winx Club animated series. And some clues from season 2 suggest that a shock trio could well land in a potential season 3.
Will the Trix arrive in season 3?
The Trix are a trio of highly gifted evil witches named Icy, Stormy, and Darcy, who studied at Cloud Tower, the school for witches. Power-hungry, they often attack the Winx and are their main enemies.
In Destiny: The Winx Saga, this trio is replaced by a single evil but no less fearsome fairy called Beatrix (Sadie Soverall), a name that’s a nice nod to the Trix. The young woman was raised in secret by Andreas, Sky’s father who was left for dead.

But in season 2, Beatrix seeks information about her past after Andreas’ death. She then temporarily allies herself with the evil bloodthirsty wizard Sebastian to get clues about the existence of her sisters!
Unfortunately, Beatrix dies at Sebastian’s hands before she can search for them. However, we can count on Stella, who has retrieved the necessary information: Beatrix’s sisters are called Isobel and D’Arcy Daniels, and they live in Diamond Hill.
But with Beatrix dead, how could the Trix form? If Beatrix comes back from the dead… And the evil creature that we see appearing near her grave suggests that she could well be resurrected by this demonic entity and form a trio with her sisters.
As of now, Netflix hasn’t officially ordered a Season 3 for Destiny: The Winx Saga, but it would be a surprise if the series didn’t get a new burst of episodes, especially after the season-ending cliffhanger. And this would be the opportunity to finally see the Trix in live action.
