On the borders of Ontario and Michigan, a huge 2.3 kilometer long bridge, the Ambassador Bridge, overlooks the Detroit River. The truckers Canadian antivax besieged the place, strategically located between Detroit, United States, and Windsor, Ontario. More than 323 million dollars of goods, 8,000 to 10,000 trucks and 40,000 people pass through it every day.
The bridge has been blocked since Monday and due to a lack of American auto parts, the Canadian plants of Ford, General Motors, Stellantis and Toyota have stopped or reduced production since Wednesday. On Friday, Ontario authorities declared a state of emergency.
