A new “DSDS” winner was chosen on Saturday. The finale was able to attract viewers again, but did not bring the primetime victory.

The finale of the 19th season “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” took place on Saturday evening. Harry Laffontien (21) was declared the winner in the last show. How was the RTL format received by viewers?

Primetime victory for ProSieben

The live show attracted 1.87 million viewers and a market share of 8.4 percent. According to “DWDL” the talent show gained around 300,000 viewers compared to the semifinals. In the target group of 14 to 49 year olds, however, the format only attracted 0.44 million viewers (8.7 percent). On the other hand, ProSieben won prime time with “The duel around the world – Team Joko versus Team Klaas”, with 0.74 million viewers and 14.9 percent in the target group. In episode three of the ninth season, stars like Riccardo Simonetti (29), Kevin Großkreutz (33) and Johannes Oerding (40) competed for the teams of Joko Winterscheidt (43) and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (38). Winterscheidt won the final game and emerged victorious from the show.

“Hirschhausen’s Quiz des Menschen” (Das Erste) came third in the target group (0.4 million and 7.6 percent). The quiz was able to secure second place among the total audience, “Theresa Wolff – Waidwund” (ZDF) leads the ranking with 5.30 million and a 21.4 percent share.
