Deux-Sèvres The man suspected of the murder of his companion indicted and imprisoned

The 55-year-old man suspected of having killed his partner at his home in Val-en-Vigne (Deux-Sèvres) has been indicted and remanded in custody, the Poitiers prosecutor’s office announced on Monday.

The body of the victim, a 51-year-old home helper, was found Saturday morning in a pool of blood with serious head injuries. “The first investigations directed the investigation towards the companion of the victim”, who was “indicted for acts of murder by spouse and placed in pre-trial detention” at the end of his police custody, indicated the prosecution.

Before the investigators, the suspect, absent from their home at the time of the discovery of the body, denied being the author of the murder, “intervened in a context of separation of the couple”, added the prosecution.
