Three injured people, two of them seriously, an hour-long rescue operation and liquid oxygen that had to be brought to safety from one of the accident vehicles – that is the result of a devastating collision on Tuesday morning in Gunskirchen (Upper Austria).
A small van and a car that were traveling on Wiener Straße in Gunskirchen on Tuesday were involved in the dramatic accident. According to initial reports, the transporter first hit a truck and then collided with an oncoming car. The two accident vehicles literally became wedged into each other and came to a standstill in the embankment area of the road.Three injuredThe driver of the car was apparently so badly trapped in the vehicle that the emergency services spent more than two hours trying to rescue him from the wreckage of the vehicle.The Collision left two male patients and one female injured, according to the Red Cross. The older of the two men was taken to the Wels Clinic by emergency doctor, the younger one was flown by helicopter to the accident hospital in Linz.
