The expansion to Diablo 4 called Vessel of Hatred follows on from the events of the main game. In this expansion, Neyrelle embarks on a dangerous journey.

In a video on YouTube, Blizzard announced further details about the upcoming expansion (“DLC”). They had previously uploaded a summary of the game’s history so far on YouTube.

The plot of the DLC continues Neyrelle’s adventure, as she goes on a dangerous mission after defeating Lilith with Mephisto’s Soul Stone. Your goal is to cleanse the stone of Mephisto’s evil essence.

Neyrelle’s goal takes her to a sacred place, the Vault of Light. She is influenced by the increasing corruption of the stone and threatens to succumb to Mephisto’s power.

New enemies, including the Burned Knights led by Urivar, stand in Neyrelle and Lorath’s way. They want to decide the fate of Sanctuary themselves.
