Diablo 4 unplayable on PS5 and PC? Here is the solution to all your problems!

The official launch of Diablo 4 will take place in a few hours, but for some players who succumbed to the sirens of the Deluxe and Ultimate versions, the game has already been available for several days. The problem is that for a handful of them, it is still unplayable. However, Blizzard has a solution (or almost).

A few days ago, we told you about a major Diablo 4 crash that was preventing players from launching their game in Early Access. A licensing issue error 315306, especially present on PS5. Well, it looks like Blizzard has finally found the problem, or at least part of it. While the studio claims that for many players the licensing bug and error 315306 are fixed, for others it still isn’t. Here are some manipulations to try to force the resolution of the problem.

A solution to Diablo 4 licensing issue and error 315306

For PS5 and PS4 players, the two platforms most affected by the bug, the problem would come from PlayStation online services. It is therefore difficult to do anything more than simply restore the license and wait for Sony to find the problem. Blizzard says the company is looking. For its part, the publisher has resolved the problem on Diablo 4, but since not everything is fixed yet on the PlayStation side, some still have crashes.

So, if the official solutions do not work, you can try a few maneuvers which, obviously, would have worked for several players. One of the solutions would obviously be to download a game (a DLC or whatever) that you have never downloaded before. Like a PS Plus game for example that you haven’t launched once yet.

In some cases, this allows the licensing system to empty before reading new ones and so. And so to give a chance to Diablo 4. If it doesn’t work, several users claim to have managed to counter the problem by buying something on the PlayStation Store (a game for a few cents, or a small DLC for €2 does the trick). However, Blizzard insists that it is possible to correct the problem without buying anything. And more fixes will come when Sony finds the error on their end.

The galley on PC too?

As for the PC, Blizzard claims that the problem is normally fixed and it came from Battle.net. However, the publisher shares some solutions in case the problem persists. To fix the bug on PC, Blizzard recommends clearing the entire launcher cache. The maneuver would therefore consist of changing the region in your account settings. In the most extreme cases, you can also uninstall and reinstall Battle.net and/or change your password. The whole thing being that the cache can be modified.

On Xbox, on the other hand, players don’t seem to complain too much. Visibly, Diablo 4 runs like a charm and no big bugs came to hinder the launch. However, a problem remains and it is valid for all consoles, the impossibility of playing early access with an account sharing.

Account sharing does not work with Diablo 4 Early Access

Account sharing on PS5 and Xbox Series has become a norm. An option directly integrated into the consoles and their services. It allows several people to enjoy the same games without buying several copies each time. For example, within the same household. But in some cases it doesn’t work.

This is what happens with the early access of Diablo 4. Players taking advantage of Account Sharing are currently unable to play the game with the title owner. Understand by this that the second player simply cannot start the game on his side. A problem that sometimes happens with pre-order bonuses for example. It is often impossible for secondary players to take advantage of it.

If Blizzard has confirmed on its site that account sharing does not work with early access, it has however said nothing regarding the final game. Normally, as soon as the game is released on June 6 at 1 a.m. (or June 5 at night if you prefer), account sharing should be functional.
That remains to be seen, especially since it risks jamming on the servers. Blizzard has warned players. Even if the teams are prepared and the servers should withstand the shock, nothing can say that this will be the case.
