Diablo II: Resurrected update 2.5 introduces Terror Zones and a host of improvements

Blizzard has published a long description of the additions and changes made by this new update. Diablo II: Resurrectedlisting in particular all the fixes and improvements applied to the gameplay of the title and, more generally, to the comfort of play. We therefore refer you to this article if you do not want to miss a beat and will insist here on the main new feature introduced by this update.

This is the addition of Terror Zones. “The journey to level 99 is a famous experience for players and a milestone if they reach it – a rite of passage, even. We want the journey to level 99 to be accessible to a larger population of players, to offer more variety than the repeated farming of Baal, Diablo, and Nihlathak, and most importantly, to remain challenging.” begins by explaining Blizzard in the preamble. And it is for this purpose that these famous Terror Zones were imagined. Unlocked after defeating Baal, the victorious character – and he alone – will be granted access to this mode. All hours, devilish tremors shake the Terror Zones and embolden the monsters who then become prime prey to ensure faster progress. The creatures will thus display at least two levels higher than that of our character, while the experience acquired and the loot amassed will also be based on this power gain.

Blizzard also announces that, starting October 6, “darkening charms” will be implemented to more easily break the immunity of creatures to certain types of damage – acquired when their resistance exceeds 100% – a possibility that escaped a large number of builds character so far. A new asset that will be launched at the same time as the second season of the Ladder.
