Blizzard had given us an appointment this Monday at 1:30 p.m. for a presentation dedicated to Diablo Immortal, the first mobile game of the license. Finally, it was quite short, about ten minutes, but not uninteresting, with as a surprise the announcement of a PC version ! Like what, the discontent of the players has been well heard.
It is with a trailer mixing cinematic elements and gameplay that we learn that Diablo Immortal will be released on June 2, 2022 on iOS and Android, but also in open beta on PC where it will be cross play and cross-progression, always in free-to-play. It is already possible to pre-register on the official site. As a reminder, this episode takes place chronologically between Diablo II and Diablo IIIpromising a fight against the Lord of Damnation Skarn. The developers had given the possibility to play with controller on mobiles during the last beta and it will therefore be the same on computers, even if the keyboard and mouse combo has also been added. This PC version will be able to run at a high resolution, but nothing more has been specified.

As this is Blizzard’s first game designed specifically for mobile, we wanted to deliver an experience worthy of the franchise. IMMORTAL DIABLO ON PC
Rest assured: Diablo Immortal will deliver a full AAA mobile experience on PC. For you to check it out for yourself, Diablo Immortal will be available in open beta on PC. As soon as the game is released, you will be able to fight the legions of the Underworld on PC, with full support for cross-play and shared progression. During the Open Beta period on PC, we will continue to gather player feedback, make changes, and polish this version of Diablo Immortal until it delivers a finalized experience. to all our brave adventurers. That said, we’ve already made some adjustments so that those who choose to play Diablo Immortal on PC can defend Sanctuary with peace of mind.
Wherever you go, you will have the opportunity to triumph over the demonic invaders of Sanctuary. The cross-play and shared progression features between mobile and PC will also allow you to forge alliances and go on adventures with other comrades, regardless of the platform. After the open beta on PC ends, you will be able to keep your progress and all your purchases.
Along with ease of entry, we understand that comfort is key, especially for longer games. To give Sanctuary protectors more ways to play, Diablo Immortal will support both PC and mobile controllers. Since the Restricted Beta, we have changed the functionality of controllers so that it is now possible to use a free cursor to navigate menus. However, to type in-game messages, you will need a touchscreen or keyboard. One of our priorities is to provide the best possible experience when using a controller to protect Sanctuary. Also, after the launch of Diablo Immortal, we will continue to improve their support.
Another great first for a Diablo game, the arrow keys Z/Q/S/D/ will allow you to move around the map for PC. Of course, you can still use the mouse and keyboard to explore, loot, and hold off nightmarish creatures straight out of the Underworld.
INFERNAL LAUNCH CONTENT
The time to fight for the fate of Sanctuary has come. Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, or Sorcerer are all classes that you can embody when you walk the streets of Westmarch. Besides, you might be wondering what dangers or delightfully thrilling challenges await you upon launch?
As you progress through the Diablo Immortal story, you will pass through eight huge areas, each presenting an infernal style of its own. However, no need to worry: we have not closed the gates of the Underworld, to possibly add new areas and new content later. While admiring the landscapes and slaying hordes of demons in your wake, you will experience dangerous live events where all the battle-hungry adventurers on the same server can defy fate together and claim victory over the Underworld. As soon as you feel able to assault the infernal reliquary, our eight-player raid, you’ll be pleased to see that we’ve added three new fearsome opponents since the Closed Beta. Not to mention that we have others in store for you future free content updates.
