Diablo Immortal will not be released in Belgium and the Netherlands

In a few hours will come out Diablo Immortalnew hack’n slash of Blizzard with a business model free-to-play, and which will therefore arrive on iOS and Android, but also on PC. Well, not for everyone, because the title includes mechanics prohibited in certain countries, depriving them of the game.

Eh yes, Belgium and the Netherlands will not be allowed to play Diablo Immortal, obviously the fault of the loot boxes present in the game Blizzard, banned in both countries. The information was disclosed by a communications manager atActivision-Blizzard Benelux at Tweakersin Dutch, before being confirmed internationally through a press release sent to Eurogamer :

Diablo Immortal will not be available in Belgium and the Netherlands, it will not appear on Battle.net in Belgium and the Netherlands, if on the App Store and Google Play Store. This is related to the current gaming operating environment in these countries. Therefore, pre-registrations for the game are not available in these markets.

Considered gambling, loot boxes are not available in these two countries, reducing the interest of certain titles such as Fifabut Blizzard don’t bother and won’t release Diablo Immortal to our European friends. The game’s release date is set for June 2 on PC, iOS and Android, you can also find Diablo III – Eternal Collection at €28.41 on Amazon.
