A few hours from Game Awards 2022the well-informed Tom Henderson lifts the veil on many expected announcements.
L’insider has indeed shared numerous leaks and privileged information concerning in particular Diablo IV, Final Fantasy XVI and street fighter 6. Three major titles which will most likely have a place of choice during the ceremony organized by Geoff Keighley.
Release date, open betas and… Battle Pass on Diablo IV
Expected at the turn since its announcement in 2019, Diablo IV should be one of the major announcements of the Game Awards 2022. Only here, no secret can be kept for long on the internet. Its release date a priori scheduled for June 5, 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S leaked recently, courtesy of Microsoft.
Through his website Insider Gaming, Tom Henderson added a layer of it by sharing all the details on the various digital editions which will undoubtedly be presented during the ceremony. From the Standard to the Ultimate to the Deluxe edition, pre-orders for the hack’n slash eagerly awaited should be launched in stride.
Pre-ordering either edition will grant early access to the game through open betas, the date of which is yet to be confirmed. The Ultimate and Deluxe editions will of course come with many goodies… and premium access to a Battle Pass.
Besides having to buy the game, Blizzard has apparently succumbed to the sirens of this system, which will (hopefully) only grant cosmetic elements to the most determined.
The release date and the different editions of Final Fantasy XVI materialize
Another major title expected to be announced during The Game Awards 2022: Final Fantasy XVIa PS5 exclusive which should be released on June 22, 2023. Again, it is likely that Square Enix will take advantage of the event to present in addition to that the different editions, the opening of which should be concomitant with pre-orders.
The game would come in a Standard and Deluxe edition. Pre-ordering one or the other will grant, as usual, the granting of cosmetic goodies and elements to facilitate the start of the adventure. The Deluxe Edition would also include an artbook and an original soundtrack of the game, whether it is the physical or digital version.
The fist on the release date and the different editions of street fighter 6
Latest highly anticipated title whose appearance at the Game Awards is highly plausible: street fighter 6. Again, the release date leaked before time, and Tom Henderson also split a detailed presentation of the different editions planned.
Capcom’s next-generation fighting game should make fists talk on June 2, 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Like Diablo IVStandard, Ultimate and Deluxe editions would be on the program.
Any pre-order will still be accompanied by small goodies. The Ultimate and Deluxe editions will include an annual pass otherwise sold separately unlocking access to four additional characters. The annual pass of the Ultimate edition will also bring various outfits, as well as two new stages.
Waiting for official announcements
If Tom Henderson in most cases gets his information from very reliable sources, it remains prudent to take all this with a few tweezers. Official confirmations should not be long in coming, however, as the Game Awards 2022 ceremony is only being held in a few hours.
