Diablo IV is set to release in 2023 on PC and console

Announced at BlizzCon 2019, Diablo IV finally finds its release date in addition to introducing the Necromancer. Planned for PC, Xbox Series and PS5, the game developed by Blizzard arrives in 2023.

Necromancers, barbarians, wizards, thieves and druids find themselves embroiled in new demonic plots. Lilith, the mother of all, has returned from the Underworld to lead Sanctuary to its destruction. The defeat of Malphael will have led the fragments of the Dark Soul Stone to bring back to life certain demons, including Duriel. Sanctuary is not ready to return to its original lands since the war between Angels and Demons.

Diablo IV is an open-world action-adventure game where you can roam freely around Sanctuary. Still using the traditional isometric 3D camera, the game will once again focus primarily on the story it tells. With a number of classes limited at launch, the specializations, talents and customization of gameplay will be present.

Five classes are present: the Barbarian, the Witch, the Druid, the Necromancer and the Thief. While this may not seem like much, the game mainly focuses on the quest players are on. However, it is not excluded that new classes are announced before the release. Or, like the Necromancer of Diablo III, that a DLC adds them. Certain skills will therefore return, whether it is the transformations of the Druid, or the Barbarian jump.
