Diablo IV: It’s Blizzard’s turn to leak with 40 minutes of gameplay

It’s definitely been a bad week for studios wanting to protect themselves from leaks. After the incredible leak around GTA 6it is now Activision-Blizzard who must manage a leak, certainly less problematic than for the Rockstar game, but which is all the same damaging for the team working on Diablo IV. This leak would concern this time nearly 40 minutes of video with gameplay for the game.

Relatives of Blizzard employees involved?

According to VGC, this leak will come from Reddit via a user by the name of iV1rus0, who posted two videos where someone can be seen playing Diablo IVsometimes with sets that are very far from being finalized.

The origin of these videos remains to be determined, but they would come from people who recently had access to the game via a test program concerning the relatives of employees working at Blizzard. Or rather of people who could have filmed these videos while watching someone (a relative of a Blizzard employee) play and stream Diablo IV. Maybe the person in question forgot they weren’t allowed to stream (doubt, but who knows), and the internet was able to capture that moment forever, at least until Blizzard came back with copyright complaints.

This is the second time footage of the game has leaked since testing at Blizzard’s relatives, but the first leak was much smaller. We therefore imagine that the studio is not ready to try the experiment again.
