Diablo IV: the developers take stock of the endgame

Two months. In two months to the day as these lines are written, the long-awaited Diablo IV will unleash the hordes of the Underworld to torment the inhabitants of Sanctuary, and stun players in a frantic race to loot. If its campaign and its open world already seem colossal, the regulars of Blizzard’s Porte-Monstres-TrĂ©sor know that the real playful stakes only begin once the screenplay is finished. So it’s for the fans hard boiled that the developers delivered a video revealing the high-level content of DIV.

An endless hell (so much the better)

Once the main campaign is over, players can therefore continue their exploration of the world of Sanctuary in order to continue to satisfy their insatiable Will for Power. The program promises to be busy for the finishers : increase in difficulty (and therefore in the quality of the loot), return of the Paragon system inaugurated in Diablo IIIdungeons converted to Nightmare dungeons, and waves of ever more powerful monsters.

Here is the complete detail of the official communication provided by Blizzard Entertainment regarding the so-called “high level” content for Diablo IV:

-After completing the campaign, take on more challenges with higher difficulty world levels by completing the boundary stone dungeons. The higher the world level, the more loot and benefits your character can get.
-The Paragon system provides even more opportunities to fine-tune your ideal character setup beyond the initial skill tree, to make it unique. Choose a path, and the boons and glyphs you want to get based on your playstyle.
-Fill the codex with power by finding the hidden aspects in the dungeons. This will allow you to take items found in the world and turn them into more powerful legendary items.
-There are more than 120 dungeons in Sanctuary and all of them can become Nightmare dungeons. Use Nightmare Emblems to activate the Nightmare version of dungeons and add more difficult objectives and challenges to complete.
– Ever more powerful monsters roam Sanctuary for those who have completed the campaign. Defeat these monsters in the Hellwave Zones to collect shards which you can use to purchase valuable rewards from caches.
-Go to the Tree of Whispers to collect the Whispers of the Dead. For each bounty completed, players can return to the tree to receive a large cache of rewards.
-Those who wish to compete against other players can do so in the Fields of Hatred. This PvP area allows you to engage in a player versus player confrontation or to complete tasks to collect shards to purify in town. Rewards await those who purify their shards, but all players in the fields are subject to PvP solicitation.

Diablo IV is expected as the messiah for June 6, 2023 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
