(CercleFinance.com) – Diageo announces £450,000 in funding for three innovations to reduce and monitor the impact of water and climate crises on smallholder farming in Africa.
‘Smallholder farmers are highly vulnerable to climate change and water scarcity resulting from climate change,’ the group says.
Diageo Sustainable Solutions was launched in November 2020 to foster collaboration between Diageo and innovators on the next generation of sustainability technologies.
‘ The goal of the global program is to discover and develop innovators and technologies that can help Diageo achieve its sustainability goals by 2030. Ongoing pilot projects under previous rounds of applications include a partnership with Exxergy, Dassault Systèmes and Ardagh group ‘ adds the management of the group.
