Diane Kruger has been living abroad for years, but she still feels very German.

Diane Kruger has been the mother of a daughter since 2018. Although the family lives in the USA, the actress still speaks “German with her”.
Diane Kruger (45) and Norman Reedus (52) have been parents of a little daughter since 2018. The actress, who grew up in Lower Saxony, passes on her German roots to her offspring. “I speak German with her and she understands everything,” explains the 45-year-old in an interview with “Gala”.
Diane Kruger feels “still very German”
The little one would only say certain words in German, “e.g. pancakes”. But the Kruger family doesn’t just serve local dishes – the 45-year-old also seems to be keen on French cuisine. “For example, a leg of lamb that has to roast in the oven for eight hours. I love that!”
This preference is no coincidence: “I lived in France for 25 years, we currently live in New York,” the blonde actress continues. She understands home to mean the whole world, “but I do feel very European and, of course, still very German.”
Engagement in the Kruger house?
Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus met in 2015 while filming the film Sky, in which they played the two main roles. They have been in a relationship since 2016, which became public in March 2017. Their daughter was born in 2018.
Little is known about the private lives of Hollywood stars. In August 2021, the first rumors arose that the two should have gotten engaged. Among other things, it reported that “People” magazine, citing an insider. To date there has been no confirmation.
