Did you like Spy on TF1? Then this movie might please you!

If you watched “Spy” tonight on TF1, book one of your next evenings to watch this film which is exactly in the same spirit!

TF1 is broadcasting Spy tonight, an action-espionage comedy worn by Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham and Jude Law. The opportunity to see the comedic actress and queen of improvisation hone her skills in a film rather focused on fighting. And if you liked this film, let yourself be tempted by another of the same style, Target, available on Disney+.

In Target, FDR and Tuck are two CIA agents and are also best friends. When they find out they are dating the same young woman, Lauren, a good-natured competition develops between them. But when the friendly rivalry turns to war, all means are good to manage to put the other offside. As for Lauren, she has the embarrassment (it is the case to say it!) of the choice.

Directed by McG (Newport Beach, Charlie and his Charlie’s Angels), Target stars Chris Pine and Tom Hardy as the agents and Reese Witherspoon as their “target”, the “Target” of the French title.

Twentieth Century Fox

Chris Pine, Tom Hardy

We find a badass agent separated from his wife and already a dad (Hardy) and a rather womanizing and seductive agent (Pine). A dynamic that we find in Spy with on one side the seducer à la James Bond (Jude Law) and the badass (Jason Statham).

Target resembles Spy in the sense that we find agents who will confront a third person who is worth much more than the straightjacket in which we try to categorize it: Reese Witherspoon in one case, Melissa McCarthy in the other. Let’s give Caesar what belongs to him: Spy is inspired by Target, since it was released in 2015, three years after its colleague.

Twentieth Century Fox

Reese Witherspoon

The two films are also signed by the same studio, Twentieth Century Fox.

The comparison stops there, because Spy and Target have different scenarios, but if you liked one of the two, the second is very likely to please you!
