Did you like them in A Difficult Year? Jonathan Cohen and Pio Marmaï will be in a new comedy which promises to be very crazy

Currently showing in “A Difficult Year”, Jonathan Cohen and Pio Marmaï will reunite in “Daaaaaali!”, the new film by Quentin Dupieux. But they will not respond.

Five films and three series released for one between 2021 and 2023. Twelve feature films and two series for the other. To say that Jonathan Cohen and Pio Marmaï have been prolific over the last two years is an understatement. But they did not respond to each other in any of these projects.

That had never even been the case, in their respective careers, before Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache brought them together for A Difficult Year, their new feature film released this Wednesday, October 18 in our theaters. A big first for Jonathan Cohen, who had never always been with the directors of Intouchables. And a reunion with Pio Marmaï, seen in the two seasons of In therapy.

But this will not be the last time that the two actors will be in the credits of the same project, since we will find them next year in Daaaaaali!, the new film by Quentin Dupieux.

Initially scheduled for November 1, the feature film was pushed back to 2024 to leave more room for Yannick, a surprise opus announced a month before its release and which became its author’s biggest success with nearly 435,000 admissions to date.

Pio Marmaï was in the casting of this film, and we will find him in Daaaaaali!, where he will play the famous painter. Like Jonathan Cohen. And Edward Baer. And Didier Flamand. Because the feature film tells the interviews between a journalist who is making a documentary (Anaïs Demoustier) and the pope of surrealism. Played by a different actor at each meeting, like I’m Not There with Bob Dylan.

Jonathan Cohen in “Daaaaali!” (in Dali therefore)

Unless there is a scene bringing together all the versions of Salvador Dali, Jonathan Cohen and Pio Marmaï should therefore not be seen opposite each other in Quentin Dupieux’s film, which obviously promises to be crazy but does not yet have a release date . But who knows if the two actors will not meet again afterwards?

In the sequel to The Flame and the Flambeau for example, since a season 3 is obviously being written? Or with another filmmaker who wants to exploit their alchemy, highlighted by Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache. The bets are open.
