Didier Raoult egocentric? Edifying excerpts from his autobiography unveiled, “Chez moi, le moi est…”

Infamous since the Covid-19 pandemic, Professor Didier Raoult officially retired in September 2022. The former director of the Aix-Marseille IHU took the opportunity to write his autobiography.

Didier Raoult was one of the great agitators of the confinement period. Become famous to the general public since the Covid-19 pandemic which ravaged the whole world, the former director of the IHU of Aix-Marseille has been officially retired since September 2022. Since then, he has decided to get down to writing his autobiography, which will be released very soon in bookstores. Inside, our colleagues from La Provence have managed to extract a few passages that prove his egocentricity.

In particular via a little sentence that is not insignificant: “With me, the ego is indeed oversized. I see it, sometimes I regret it, because as far as I can remember, it has often aroused the worst jealousies towards me”, wrote Didier Raoult when trying to make his own analysis. Dividing, loud-mouthed and full of himself, the professor has tried to convey all that he really is through his work.

Didier Raoult published an autobiography

Through the nearly 400 pages of his autobiography, the microbiologist, a big star in the conspiratorial milieu, says to himself “aware of the extraordinary capacities with which nature has endowed him”. And he does not hesitate to put a stop to his own country, declaring that “France has always maintained an ambivalence, giving birth to pure geniuses within it before condemning them in a kind of destructive madness.

Acclaimed by many decried heads of state such as Donald Trump or Bolsonaro for his research on hydroxychloroquine, which he still touts as the miracle cure to defeat Covid-19, the scientific community has decided to disown him and investigate his unconventional research methods. A book to find in bookstores from this month of April.
