Diego Maradona would have had better chances of survival in a hospital: According to a report by experts.

Before his death on November 25, 2020, Diego Maradona (1960-2020) allegedly received “poor and inconsiderate” medical care. This emerges from an investigation report, The newspaper “La Nacion” reports on it. The public prosecutor’s office started investigations shortly after the death of the Argentine soccer star. According to media reports, there was a house search of his personal doctor and other people who were involved in his care were also said to have been investigated.

Maradona, who fought against an alcohol and drug addiction for many years, had died in his private home after a heart attack. Shortly before he died, he had an operation that removed a blood clot from his brain.

Convene a team of experts

In March 2021, a medical panel convened by the prosecution met to clarify allegations that members of Maradona’s medical team had failed to treat him properly before his death. The report should now say that the actions of the team responsible for Maradona were “inadequate, inadequate and inconsiderate”.

According to the report, the soccer star is said to have become seriously ill about twelve hours before his death. In a hospital he would have had a better chance of survival, reports “La Nacion”, citing the experts. The treating team left its survival “to fate”.
