There is a trial: The Munich public prosecutor has brought charges against Dieter Wedel on charges of rape.

The Munich public prosecutor's office brought charges against Dieter Wedel (81, "The Shadow Man") three years after the investigation began. Thus, the director and screenwriter has to answer for the allegation of rape before the Munich Regional Court. The communication states that the public prosecutor's office is assuming a suspicion "that has yet to be proven by the court" on the basis of its previous investigations. Wedel denies the allegations.

The actress Jany Tempel (51) accuses Wedel of forcing her to have sex during an audition in a luxury hotel in Munich. The allegations were first published in an article in "Zeit-Magazin" and then discussed controversially. Wedel vehemently contradicted the accusations in an affidavit and said in an interview with the "Bild" newspaper that he was glad that this investigation was taking place: "I trust the public prosecutor's office."

This now produced a 20-page indictment in which more than 20 witnesses, an expert appraiser and other documents and objects of inspection such as calendars are listed as evidence. Wedel's lawyer has not yet commented on the charges that have now taken place.
