On the game of James Bendon, Dinkum, players must build a community and make it thrive on a near-deserted island. For this, they will have to collect a large number of resources, build buildings and convince NPCs to settle on said island. Thus, throughout the adventure, we must fish, mine, cut down trees, explore, etc. Moreover, it is possible to find and recover buried treasureson Dinkum. We explain how to do it in the following, and what the prerequisites are.
Buried treasures, on Dinkum, how to find them and recover them?
Metal detector and licenses
In order to find and collect buried treasures in the ground, on Dinkum, players must have two very specific licenses: Excavation License and Metal Detecting. These cost 500 Permit Points, each. As you probably already know, you can unlock them by talking to Fletch.
In addition, it is imperative to have the metal detector (Metal detector). John sells one for 6,600 Dinks. Without forgetting, of course, a shovel, also available for sale in the shop of said NPC. Once all these elements are gathered, players can go in search of buried treasures.
Use the metal detector
As soon as you are outside, equip yourself with your metal detector (Metal detector) and survey the island of your choice. Hold the key linked to the use of the metal detector (Metal detector). At some point, you will be able to see blue circles, on the ground. Stay within this perimeter and continue using your Metal detector until you find a larger blue circle, with geometric shapes resembling lightning bolts at the ends (as in the image below). This symbol represents a buried treasure.
From now on, all you have to do is use your shovel (Shovel) to recover the treasure buried under the ground. Know that on Dinkumthe buried treasures are varied: thanks to the metal detector (Metal detector), you could find various elements, such as electrical components (Old Toy, Sliding Handle, Glass Bulb, Old Gear, etc.) for example.
As a reminder, Dinkum was released in early access in July 2022, on PC. The title is available on the Steam platform. Note, finally, that Dinkum should arrive on consoles later.
