Disabled people better integrated into the labor market


DECRYPTION – Their employment rate increased by almost 10% in 2021 according to the Cap emploi barometer.

Although access to employment remains difficult for people with disabilities, it is however improving in a tight labor market context. According to the 2021 activity barometer of Cap emploi (operators specializing in supporting disabled job seekers), 197,813 job seekers benefiting from the employment obligation (Deboe) have resumed an activity, marking an increase of 9.5% compared to the previous year.

At the end of training, the rate of access to employment for Deboe (42.9%) is also up by 8 points. Another positive indicator, the number of long-term Deboes fell (-6%) to 233,637 last year.
