Investigators are still looking for the body of Delphine Jubillar, missing since December 2020. Research is taking place near a farm at a place called Drignac.
New searches were launched on Monday in Cagnac-les-Mines, the village of Tarn where Delphine Jubillar lived until her disappearance in December 2020, noted an AFP correspondent. In addition to the gendarmes, soldiers from the Specialized Operational Excavations (FOS), an army unit, were mobilized, according to a source close to the investigation.
Near a farm that burned down a few months ago, at a place called Drignac, an AFP correspondent saw five gendarmerie vehicles and two unmarked white vans with soldiers in fatigues inside. Investigators still hope to find the body of the missing nurse, believing that it will provide them with valuable clues to elucidate this case.

A targeted hamlet
Her husband, Cédric Jubillar, was indicted for murder and imprisoned on June 18. He claims to be innocent, multiplies the requests for release. The last was rejected on Friday by the investigating chamber of the Toulouse Court of Appeal. The excavations undertaken by the gendarmes and the experts of the army should last several days. Investigators targeted a hamlet not far from the Jubillar couple’s home.
A detainee from a cell next to Cédric Jubillar’s in Seysses prison, near Toulouse, told investigators from the gendarmerie’s research section, in charge of the investigation, several weeks ago that the husband told him he had buried the body there, according to a source close to the investigation.

It is following these assertions that the current companion of Cédric Jubillar was placed in police custody for 36 hours. She is suspected of having reunited with this former cell neighbor after her release from prison. She was released at the end of police custody, without being prosecuted.
Last Wednesday, a gendarmerie helicopter flew over this farm near Cagnac-les-Mines at low altitude at the end of the afternoon, as well as a field covered with photovoltaic panels. “Investigations have already been carried out in the spring on this farm”, recently recalled one of Cédric Jubillar’s lawyers, Jean-Baptiste Alary.
The army unit called in reinforcement this Monday in the Tarn is generally sent to the field for excavation, reconnaissance and intelligence missions. Delphine Jubillar, who worked as a night nurse in a clinic in Albi, disappeared on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020. It was her husband who reported her disappearance to the gendarmes. The couple was in the process of divorce and the investigators are convinced of the involvement of Cédric Jubillar in the disappearance of his wife. They favor the thesis of a violent argument in their house in Cagnac-les-Mines, during which he would have killed her, before hiding her body.
Since the temporary detention of Cédric Jubillar, the couple’s two children, a two-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy, have been entrusted to the nurse’s sister.
