Disappearance of Delphine Jubillar: her husband Cédric’s lawyers pull out their claws

A new element in the case linked to the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar. This Tuesday, November 21, the investigating judges decided referral of Cédric Jubillar to the Tarn Assize Court, in the wake of the requisitions of the Toulouse public prosecutor’s office. However, in the order consisting of around sixty pages, one sentence particularly attracted the attention of the three lawyers of the plasterer-painter, reports The Parisian. It is : “All the elements collected during the judicial investigation demonstrate that Cédric Jubillar is the author of the murder of his wifethat he was the last one to see her alive.”

Jean Baptiste Alary, Emmanuelle Franck and Alexandre Martin saw “a violation of the presumption of innocence”. “This charging order is an intolerable violation of the rule of law”added the lawyers during a press conference, according to our colleagues from Parisian. They thus announced their intention to file a complaint for “violation of the rules of ethics”against the two investigating judges, faced with this writing “black on white” who claims that Cédric Jubillar “is the murderer even though he has not been judged”, also relates BFM TV. Another will be filed before the judicial council against the representative of the prosecution.

Delphine Jubillar’s lawyers appealed her referral to the Assize Court

This Wednesday, November 22, Cédric Jubillar’s lawyers expressed their desire to appeal the referral of their client to the assizes for the murder of his wife Delphine, missing since December 2020. We will pursue all remedies available to us to demonstrate the emptiness of this file”, declared Alexandre Martin in particular to AFP. At the same time, he recalled that their client, presumed innocent of the facts with which he is accused“proclaims his innocence” facing a file “empty”. From now on, as indicated by our colleagues at BFM TV, the investigating chamber of the court of appeal is required to rule, behind closed doors, on this appeal. Two possibilities are available to her: she can validate the referral order, and the trial will take place at the end of 2024 or early 2025, or she invalidates it and a dismissal of the case will be pronounced.
