Disappearance of Delphine Jubillar: immense disappointment for Cédric because of housing

Main suspect in the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar, her husband Cédric Jubillar, still incarcerated, has just suffered a new blow.

Another refusal. On September 14, 2022, Cédric Jubillar’s lawyers, Maîtres Alexandre Martin, Emmanuelle Franck and Jean-Baptiste Alary made a new request for release under an electronic bracelet for their client. Only like previous requests, this resulted in a refusal. The SPIP, or Prison Service for Integration and Probation, did not accept that the Tarnais incarcerated since June 2021 benefit from this measure. And according to our colleagues from France Info, the refusal of this new request for conditional release has a specific reason: the accommodation in which Cédric Jubillar was supposed to reside if he were released on bail.

Located with a relative of Cédric Jubillar in the Occitanie region but outside the Tarn department in which the suspect is detained, this accommodation located in an undisclosed location would be problematic and would therefore have led the judges to refuse the release under electronic bracelet. Following this decision, lawyer Me Alexandre Martin spoke: “It’s always the same old story with a refusal of the presumption of innocence. Housing would be a problem because whoever would entrust him would be party to it. But inevitably, this person supports Cédric Jubillar and believes him innocent to offer his accommodation”. According NewsToulousethe accommodation in question was also judge “not habitable” and “completely unsuitable” to the situation.

Cédric Jubillar will be heard on September 23

After this new refusal – which follows the half-dozen already suffered by the lawyers of Cédric Jubillar – the investigation into the case of the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar continues with, this Friday, September 23, a new audition of Cédric Jubillar – the fourth – by the investigating judges of Toulouse. Waiting for new elements, the pretrial detention of the husband of the disappeared continues at the Seysses remand center. The investigations are continuing on the side of the police, with some time ago excavations on the side of a cemetery near the home of the Jubillar family, and in particular of some vaults which have recently been manipulated. However, like the other excavations carried out so far, no trace of Delphine Jubillar has yet been found.

As a reminder, the 33-year-old nurse who lived in Cagnac-les-Mines, in the Tarn, has disappeared during the night of December 15 to 16, 2020. Mother of two young children, Louis and Elyah, Delphine Jubillar was about to separate from her husband, Cédric Jubillar, when she disappeared overnight without a trace. It was this same husband who reported her missing the next morning, but whose certain elements of the story prompted investigators to quickly consider him a suspect. Cédric Jubillar, a plasterer, was therefore indicted and then placed in pre-trial detention in June 2021. Since then, his lawyers have been increasing their requests for release, without success.

Among the vague elements concerning Cédric Jubillar’s file, the results of a new expertise carried out on Delphine Jubillar’s mobile phone which dates from September 20, 2022. According to RTL, the results indicate that the nurse’s phone was spotted, via phone relay coverage, in an area very close to the Jubillar’s home, rue Yves Montand in Cagnac-les-Mines. This means that the laptop would have remained near or even in the Jubillar house the night of the disappearance. It would also have been definitively extinguished on the morning of December 16, 2020 at 7:48 a.m.

Another discovery, less official this time, that of a plastic bag containing a jacket that could belong to Cédric Jubillar. It all started with a fortune teller from AmiensAudrey, who according to The Courrier Picard moved to Cagnac-les-Mines this summer to do her research there. Accompanied by three relatives of Delphine, Hélène, Emy and Séverine, the clairvoyant would have encouraged the friends of the victim to search in a ravine. And it’s in this ravine a plastic bag with two items of clothing, including a blue jacket, was found. According to the seer, “one of Delphine’s friends said that this blue jacket resembled a model worn by Cédric Jubillar”. The finds have been entrusted to the police but the Albi prosecutor’s office has not yet commented on this.
