While the judge of freedoms and detention of the Toulouse judicial court chose to extend the detention of Cédric Jubillar on Monday December 5, 2022, he nevertheless opened the door to a possible release of the craftsman in the future.
Indicted for “intentional spousal homicide“, as part of the investigation into the disappearance of his wife, Cédric Jubillar has been remanded in custody at the Seysses remand center (31) since June 18, 2021. The husband of Delphine Jubillar therefore spent 18 months behind bars. As a reminder, Cédric Jubillar is the number suspect of the investigators responsible for elucidating the mystery of the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar, who has not given any sign of life since the night of December 15 to 16, 2020. For the record, the young nurse, aged 33 at the time of the events, vanished near her home in Cagnac-les-Mines, located in the Tarn department.
Despite the numerous excavations carried out by the authorities in this sector since the beginning of this case, the body of Delphine Jubillar remains still and always untraceable at the present time. For his part, Cédric Jubillar proclaims his innocence loud and clear. He has also filed several requests for release through his lawyers during his 18 months of detention. So far, these have all been rejected.. However, in parallel with keeping the craftsman behind bars, the judge also ordered that we proceed to an update of the feasibility study intended to verify the state of the accommodation in which Cédric Jubillar could be accommodated, if ever he were to recover conditional freedom in the more or less near future. The judge therefore left the door open to a possible future release of the husband of Delphine Jubillar. As a reminder, the accommodation in which Cédric Jubillar should be accommodated, if he is one day released from prison, is a small studio of 25 square meters, located in Ariège.
