The public prosecutor of Poitiers, Cyril Lacombe, explains that it is Tom, the 22-year-old man who had lent his house, located in the town of Prahecq, to the couple, the evening of their disappearance. According to information from Parisian, the investigators are interested in the young man for two reasons. First of all, because they suspect him of selling drugs. But above all, because he could have been in love with Leslie and wanted revenge for his budding relationship with Kevin – the two young people had met through Tom three weeks before their disappearance.

“His little sister at heart”

Another disturbing element could have pushed the investigators to take an interest in Tom: the evening of Leslie’s disappearance, he was the last to have exchanged with her by SMS. Text messages deemed “disturbing” by the parents of the young woman.
