The mother of Lina, a 15-year-old teenager who disappeared in Alsace on September 23, was received on Thursday by the two investigating judges in charge of the investigation, to whom she expressed her “frustration” at not being kept more informed of the investigation. “Even if the frustration remains because access to the complete file was not possible, Madame Fanny Groll would like to thank the welcome of the two judges and their quality of listening,” her lawyer told AFP, Me Matthieu Airoldi, at the end of the hearing, with which he said he was “satisfied”.
Judicial investigation opened against X
Until this first hearing with the judges, after four months of investigation, Lina’s mother and her lawyer had only been able to read “the preliminary investigation”, i.e. the elements discovered in the first week that followed. the disappearance of the young girl. “The quality of the work of the investigators is in no way called into question in this case, Mrs. Fanny Groll knows that they are working hard to shed light on the causes of this disappearance and find her daughter,” said added Me Airoldi.
The lawyer announced that he will hold a press conference on Friday, in the presence of Lina’s mother. The teenager disappeared after leaving her home in Plaine (Bas-Rhin) to go to the Saint-Blaise-la-Roche station, about three kilometers away, a journey on foot that she had habit of doing. Several searches were organized after his disappearance, but did not uncover any convincing clues. Water points were also probed, without result.
The investigation into his disappearance was first carried out by the Saverne public prosecutor’s office, which then transferred responsibility to the Strasbourg public prosecutor’s office. A judicial investigation was opened against X for “kidnapping and sequestration not followed by voluntary release of more than seven days”. In its last communication on the case, on October 2, the Strasbourg public prosecutor’s office announced that the investigation was moving “towards long-term investigations under the authority of the two investigating magistrates in charge of the case, (.. .) no avenue being ruled out or privileged”.
