In an interview broadcast on Tuesday May 3, 2022 on Portuguese television, the spokesperson for the Brunswick public prosecutor’s office announced the discovery of new elements in the Maddie McCann case.

Tuesday May 3, the Portuguese television channel CMTV broadcast an unpublished interview dedicated to this case. Hans Christian Wolters, the spokesperson for the Brunswick prosecutor’s office, in charge of the German section, made some revelations. The one who no longer doubts the fact that the little girl is dead said of the prime suspect: “We are convinced that he is the murderer of Madeleine McCann“. He then went on to explain that the repeat sex offender “has no alibi“while the latter claims the opposite.
Investigation moves forward as new evidence uncovers
During his interview on Portuguese television, Hans Christian Wolters explained that the investigation was ongoing. He confided: “The investigation continues and we have discovered new elements, new evidence, not forensic, but evidence“. A hope for the parents of the little girl.
Wednesday, May 4, the DailyMirror published an article revealing that a “object“owned by Maddie McCann was reportedly found in the main suspect’s white and yellow motorhome. The little girl’s DNA could not be found, however.. The information of the discovery of this object would have been revealed by a Portuguese police source, but was not confirmed by the German prosecutor in charge of the investigation, who does not wish to give more information.
