The young girl being no stranger to running away, her relatives suspect her of having joined Toulouse, where her boyfriend lives. Nevertheless, while a disturbing investigation for disappearance has just been opened by the Foix prosecutor’s office, concern is growing…
It must be said that the latest news from Manon is far from reassuring. In the columns of La Dépêche, his father says he received a very strange call from him on February 9, two weeks after his escape. “She called but didn’t speak to me directly. We could just hear her screaming Stop hitting me! She was screaming to death…I was screaming ‘Just tell me where you are?’ but the communication was cut off, he remembers. A little later, she texted me to tell me that it was just an evening that had ended badly. And since then, nothing. I even called the Belgian Embassy but we have no news. It’s very hard to live.”
The teenager in danger with her boyfriend?
If Manon’s father is so worried, it’s because he’s not sure his daughter is safe with her boyfriend. Indeed, the teenager would have already returned with a bruise in the face in the past, a hematoma that her father thinks inflicted by her companion. In addition, although his daughter is placed in a home following a “big family conflict” and “a very, very difficult journey”, her father affirms that she never leaves without giving news. “After she ran away in September, she lived with him and got back in touch with me in November. She came home regularly and it was going well. I was trying to get her back on track and she was acknowledging some of her mistakes. It was quite pleasant. In January, the judge decided that she could come back here every other weekend. We were trying to find solutions. She spent a weekend with us and after that, nothing“, he explains.
At home too, we are “very, very worried”. Admittedly, this is not Manon’s first runaway, but it’s really not her habit not to give any news. For this reason, the teenager has been placed on the wanted list. The Pamiers police station, in charge of the investigation for worrying disappearance, did not wish to comment on the file, indicate our colleagues from La Dépêche.
