This accident marks the start of the war with Sacha Distel, against whom she ends up filing a complaint.

If the versions of the two protagonists differ, Chantal Nobel affirms that Sacha Distel was driving at a speed of 155 km per hour and that the accident was largely his fault. Sacha Distel was sentenced to a one-year suspended prison sentence for involuntary injuries in 1988. In the meantime, Chantal Nobel had a great love affair with Jean-Louis Julian. The couple then lived in a house in Ramatuelle where they established themselves as a family and where the jeweler always made sure to make his wife feel good despite her disability.
