He was last seen alive on Saturday July 8, 2023 in the hamlets of Haut-Vernet [Alpes-de-Haute-Provence], alongside his family. For her part, the teenager has not given any sign of life since Saturday September 23, 2023. That day, she had to walk to the Plaine station in Bas-Rhin, in order to join her boyfriend Tao in Strasbourg. However, Lina never arrived at her destination. For the moment, the authorities have not been able to find the victims. Saturday March 2, 2024, the local channel BFM DICI revealed the different investigators in charge of these two disappearances would have taken the initiative to share information, which could mean that there is a link between the two cases. In fact, the gendarmes responsible for finding Lina and Emile talk to each other, and exchange their investigation techniques.
Disappearances of Emile and Lina: the gendarmes would check all the leads likely to link the two cases
The rapprochement between the investigators in charge of these two disappearances would have started following technical and technological work carried out on telephony. Information would thus have been noted near Vernet at the time when Emile disappeared. This famous information could coincide with the results obtained by the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Lina near Strasbourg. A judicial source cited by BFM DICI underlines that this track was judged “interesting”but not conclusive. “There’s nothing relevant about it. Nothing surprising either. People have much greater mobility than we think. A driver who passes through Digne in July can very well pass through Strasbourg in September without being involved in these disappearances.“, indicated another source who is closely following the investigations carried out to find Emile and Lina. So far, the authorities have left nothing to chance in these two cases. The gendarmes are also checking all avenues likely to establish a link between these two disappearances.
