PARIS (Reuters) – A “disciplinary procedure” has been initiated concerning Gérard Depardieu’s Legion of Honor in order to determine whether he should keep it, Culture Minister Rima Abdul Malak said on Friday in C à vous sur France 5.

The program Complément d’investigation recently broadcast a report on the actor, targeted by accusations of sexual violence, and in which he made sexist comments during a trip to North Korea.

“There is a council of the order of the Legion of Honor which will meet, and which will initiate a disciplinary procedure to decide whether this Legion of Honor must be suspended or not, withdrawn completely or not,” said the minister on France 5.
