Discordthe most famous of instant messaging apps among gamers, announces some welcome changes to the Android version.

There will now be no discord between iOS and Android users.

Discord: an Android application that will be housed in the same boat as iOS

Historically, Discord users on Android were unfortunately very often disadvantaged compared to iPhone owners. Indeed, the new features of the application landed first on iOS, before finally pointing the tip of their nose on Android devices some time later. But we have good news for you: as shared by the site Engadgetthe situation will (finally) change very soon.

In a recent blog post, Discord announced that the app development process will now be centralized for Android, iOS, and desktop versions. Like iOS, the Android version will migrate to React Native, an open-source mobile application framework that will notably allow you to enjoy a more consistent experience between the different platforms.

The Discord application on Android will take advantage of this transition to React Native to unveil some visual changes and will notably offer a default font that is now larger and closer to what we know from iOS. In general, Discord will be better designed for the Google OS and Android customers will now benefit from simultaneous updates compared to customers of the Apple brand’s operating system.

For the most impatient among you, note that this update may still require a few weeks, starting today, before landing on your Android smartphone. A little more patience then…
