An app to boost the external screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 4
A few days ago now, Samsung unveiled a new salvo of foldable smartphones, including the Galaxy Z Flip 4. The latter has a 6.7-inch 2640 x 1080 pixel AMOLED panel and is capable of to fall back on itself. Therefore, the user can take advantage of a small external screen of 1.9 inches (260 x 512 pixels) which allows you to take advantage of some basic notifications.
Recently updated, the free CoverScreen OS application promises to extend the functions of this mini front screen, allowing the use of complete applications and all third-party widgets.
WhatsApp, Instagram and all your apps on a 1.9 inch screen!
For example, through CoverScreen OS it is quite possible to activate a function to see who is calling us on the screen for VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram or Snapchat. You can also install a full keyboard if necessary, or even access a full application launcher.
In addition, we have the possibility to directly access services such as Samsung Pay, or to adjust various parameters on the smartphone such as the volume, the activation of Bluetooth or Do Not Disturb modes, the flashlight… The application works through a new set of swipe gesture controls, on the rightmost part of the screen.
Note however that if the application is free to download, it removes the diction function natively supported by the Samsung OS. You will have to agree to pay $14.99 per year to take advantage of all the features.
