DeLorean Motors has released the first images of its new creation: the Alpha5.
This is the brand’s first model, after the unforgettable DMC-12 from 1981, the mechanical star of a certain Back to the future.
The new DeLorean is official!
Last April, DeLorean unveiled a mysterious image of its new vehicle, obviously 100% electric. Remember that the American brand has been famous since the mid-1980s, driven by the success of the DeLorean DMC-12 in the trilogy Back to the future. While waiting for its presentation on August 18 at Pebble Beach, the DeLorean Alpha5 is already revealed in pictures.
The opportunity to discover a new racing car with a particularly racy look, with two (huge) doors in the ” butterfly holder of the DMC-12. The 5 meter long car offers a very discreet LED light signature at the front, the rear adopting a side retro-modern very successful (at least for our taste).
On board this DeLorean Alpha5, we discover very sober interior finishes, with a screen as a dashboard and a second floating screen for the center console.
On the power side, the manufacturer promises a vehicle capable of going from 0 to 100 km / h in three seconds, and a range that should flirt with 500 km.
The DeLorean Alpha5 will make its first public laps on August 18. The occasion, no doubt, for the manufacturer to formalize a launch window as well as a price for this new model, which could be offered from 175,000 dollars according to Engadget.
