While the Redmi conference officially starts at 2 p.m., the brand has given us in advance the technical sheet of its new smartphones
affordable. An expanded range, in that it includes no less than four new devices, but in which the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G are enthroned.

An important step for the manufacturer, which will for the first time offer 5G to its flagship model. And as much to say that we expect it at the turn after the disappointment Redmi Note 10 5G of last year. Let’s take a look at what’s going on.

Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G: the ultimate in the range

No need to beat around the bush: the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is logically the best armed smartphone in the new Redmi range.

It comes in the form of a 6.67-inch AMOLED 120Hz (360Hz sampling) and Full HD+ screen smartphone. But unlike previous models, this year it has a new design, with perfectly flat edges. Any reference to a certain iPhone 13 would obviously be purely coincidental.

This new design also adopts welcome features on the durability side: a Gorilla Glass 5 glass will protect the screen, and the smartphone is IP53 certified against dust and splashes. Note also that the jack is still in the game.

Under the hood, Redmi has set its sights on a Snapdragon 695. A mid-range 5G SoC from Qualcomm, engraved in 6 nm, which embeds an 8-core CPU (2.2 GHz) and an Adreno 619 GPU. The future buyer will have the choice between 6 and 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage in UFS 2.2. The port dedicated to SD cards is still there.

Like its predecessor, the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G has a generous 5,000 mAh battery, this time rechargeable at 67 Watts. The manufacturer promises 50% autonomy regained in just 15 minutes of charging.

Finally, in terms of photography, the smartphone has a 108-megapixel wide-angle (1/1.52″; f/1.9; 2.1 µm pixels), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle (f/2.2 ; FOV of 118°) and a 2-megapixel macro module. At the front, it’s a 16-megapixel module that will shoot your portrait.

Redmi Note 11 Pro: barely less beefy

Might as well write it: there is almost no difference between the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 11 Pro. In fact, what distinguishes them is illustrated in their surname. The first is 5G compatible, while the second will stick to 4G.

In fact, the Redmi Note 11 Pro takes up all of its big brother’s technical data sheet, with two exceptions. For the SoC, we go under the Mediatek flag, with the Helio G96 − already seen in the realmi 8i . This is a chipsets equipped with an 8-core processor (2.05 GHz) and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. We should logically expect performance a little lower than that of the Note 11 Pro 5G model.

Moreover, there is also an additional sensor on the back of the phone, dedicated to depth of field. Nothing that should radically change the game, we hear. But a small consolation for those who would prefer to turn to a model without 5G compatibility.

Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G: prices and availability

Announced today, the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G do not yet have a release date. The manufacturer has not given us the price of its new devices either, so this article will be updated as soon as we receive more information.
