Does a supercar at this price really exist? Yes, but you will have to DIY it yourself from A to Z, since it is a kit car. If you are already struggling with Ikea furniture, assembly may be complicated.

The Rhino Racing RR01 is designed by the Lithuanian company Rhino Racing. It took two years of work for the teams to go from the draft, to the prototype and finally to the fully salable kit. Indeed, the RR01 is a car sold completely as a kit (like that of Ikea), and it will take some mechanical skills to be able to make it run. A rather nice concept, for those who would like to drive in a car that tears up the tarmac, without (too much) breaking the bank!

A complete kit for a customizable supercar

The starting price is really affordable, since the base is priced at 35,000 euros including tax. At this price, you will have: the aluminum monocoque, a reinforced fiberglass body, the steering system, lighting and various finishes (windows, windshield, mirrors, etc.).

It will then be necessary to add a lot of options for the vehicle to be usable. And the engine in all this? Well, it is not included and remains the most expensive option, since it is the price of the base car. For this price, you will therefore be entitled to an adaptation kit to mount the V10 TFSI of the Audi R8, a 5.2 liter naturally aspirated unit with 487 hp. It is always possible to choose another engine if you are not a fan of this one.

A good price-performance ratio

Given its extremely light design, the 487 hp of the V10 should give wings to the RR01, which will easily reach 300 km/h. High-performance parts are also included in the options catalog: AP Racing braking system (5,500 euros), Tillett B6 BRP bucket seats (3,000 euros) and electronic racing system (4,000 euros).

The company promises its customers rather reasonable delivery times for parts, between 6 and 8 months. For those who are not mechanically inclined, it is possible to buy the car already assembled. The interest in a kit car is therefore somewhat lost, but this makes the RR01 accessible to all those who could afford it. Depending on how it is used, various settings can be used: track only or road; because the RR01 is, in fact, homologable. The final price of the car with all options checked still remains less than 100,000 euros. For this level of performance, it’s unbeatable.
