L’Oréal is once again joining forces with Emmaüs for a new initiative in favor of people in precarious situations.

It is at the beginning of the week that L’Oréal and Emmaüs have announced that they are putting together a brand new initiative. While the two organizations have been partners for more than ten years now, they continue today to support people in precarious situations by working on their well-being and self-esteem.

L’Oréal and Emmaüs have just opened a new solidarity space “Beauty and Well-being” in the heart of Paris, in the 10th arrondissement. Located on the ground floor of an accommodation center managed by Emmaüs Solidarité, it is possible to find there care as well as hygiene and beauty products, such as shower gels, shampoos, deodorants, or even perfumes for women and men. Essential products that “favor the reintegration process by restoring image and self-esteem. Reclaiming one’s body and one’s image, learning to take care of oneself, promoting self-confidence, are the objectives of the “Well-being and self-esteem” workshops “ Bruno Morel, Managing Director of Emmaüs Solidarité, explained in a press release.

The Beauty and Well-being area of this accommodation center will offer, in addition to products, friendly group workshops. The objective is to support people in precarious situations residing in Ile-de-France by promoting their re-socialization and their reconstruction through self-esteem, but also by relearning to take care of oneself.

“This is the very meaning of our profession, beauty”

For his part, Hervé Navellou, CEO of L’Oréal France said he was “happy to contribute, through this partnership with Emmaüs, to supporting people in precarious situations. This is the very meaning of our profession, beauty: restore confidence and recreate self-esteem. Diversity, inclusion, attention to the people around us are values that drive us every day and I hope that this initiative will lead to others ” he also explained.
