Discriminated because of his tattoos, this school teacher may no longer be able to teach

For several days now, Freaky Hoody, considered to be the most tattooed man in France and a teacher in Essonne, has been threatened with no longer being able to practice his profession. The reason ? Its atypical look displeases parents of students because it "scares the children".

"My inspection no longer wants me to go to kindergarten to avoid receiving letters of complaint", deplores Sylvain alias Freaky Hoody on BFM TV, teacher of schools in Essonne. He is threatened with no longer being able to practice in kindergarten classes because of his numerous tattoos which shock parents of pupils and which "scare children".

The 35-year-old teacher spoke on Monday, September 21 at the end of the afternoon, to defend himself against threats from the academic inspection. "My appearance is not an obstacle on a daily basis because I think I am a good teacher and do my best in my job and progress from year to year", he began before adding: "she poses problem for some people but it is very little: one parent in a thousand and all the time they are parents of children that I do not have in class. The children that I have in class, we work well and they find me pretty cool ". A few moments later, Sylvain let go: "I have done all the levels, from the small section, to CM2 through college but at the moment, I'm only doing elementary school because my inspection no longer wants that I go to kindergarten to avoid receiving letters of complaint. They just want to be quiet, which I can understand. "

Mixed reactions

On social networks, Internet users were quick to react. Many people gave him support, believing that his appearance did not affect his right to teach. “I am a father of 2 little girls, and if their teacher was this gentleman, it would be a good opportunity to teach them not to judge people by their appearance. He seems to me a great teacher, and that 'is what we ask him! ”, tells a user on Twitter. Bravo and courage to him… “, tells a user on Twitter.

Or “Outrageous !! How would his physical appearance prevent him from doing his job well? And at the same time he teaches his students the acceptance and tolerance of difference! ", indignant another surfer.

On the other hand, others are convinced that proper attire should apply even to teachers. “No shade, but my daughter is super sensitive. I think if he's the one who opens the door to the classroom, she can go into cardiac arrest at three. This is understandable."

The young school teacher has already taught at all levels from kindergarten to college, through SEGPA or even in England.
