Disney +: Camélia Jordana will respond to Simon Ehrlacher (Plus belle la vie) in the next series of the platform

Disney+ has just announced that singer and actress Camélia Jordana will play the main character of the platform’s next original creation, entitled “Irresistible”.

After having built a solid career in the cinema, Camélia Jordana will now tackle the small screen. The singer has just landed the lead role in the new Disney+ series, titled Irresistible, a romantic comedy whose filming has just started in Paris according to AFP.

Composed of 6 episodes of 30 minutes, this fiction, created by Clémence Madeleine-Perdrillat, who notably worked on season 2 of In Therapy, is one of the six new French productions of Disney + scheduled for 2023.

In Irresistible, Camélia Jordana embodies a successful podcast creator who has a crush on a mathematician. Unfortunately, as soon as she is in his presence, she has panic attacks due to the trauma left from a previous relationship.

The actress and singer will give for the occasion the reply to Théo Navarro-Mussy, a young actor who made himself known by playing an intern in season 2 of the medical series Hippocrates. Simon Ehrlacher, who cut his teeth in Coeur Océan and who was recently in the daily soap opera of France 3 Plus belle la vie, will also be part of the cast, as will Marion Séclin (Christmas Flow).

The series, which will take place in Paris, should adopt a very different bias from its competitors, in particular from Netflix and its Emily in Paris, since Irresistible will have as its setting “a realistic and authentic Paris, far from tourist clichés”, and will be shot in neighborhoods that are not often highlighted in this type of production.

2023 will therefore be placed under the sign of French creations for Disney+. After the critical success of Oussekine, the platform aims to offer “more original French creations”, as explained by Pauline Dauvin, vice-president in charge of its original content.

Alongside Irresistible, Disney+ will offer 5 other original series: season 2 of Les Amateurs (online since January 4), the mini-series Tout va bien with Virginie Efira, the documentary series Kaiser Karl on fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, and the films Antigang: the next generation and A zone to defend.
