Star Wars: The Bad Batch – Season 3

Unveiled a few days ago, the announcement of the final season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch was made via a trailer to be found in French above. This animated series produced in 3D was imagined to complete the extended universe of the franchisefollowing episodes of the hit animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

In this third and final season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, the unruly, genetically modified clones of the Bad Batch go after Omega who, for her part, finds herself stuck in an isolated Imperial laboratory. These 15 new episodes will be an opportunity for them to forge new alliances at the edge of the galaxy and uncover sinister plots. The first 3 episodes will be launched simultaneously on Disney+ from February 21, with the rest of the series scheduled to be released weekly.

Shōgun

Born in the pages of a novel by James Clavell in 1975, the screenplay of Shōgun has its roots in the history of feudal Japan, around 1600, on the eve of a major civil war. The main character is clearly inspired by the daimyō Ieyasu Tokugawa while the events are described from the perspective of an English ship commander named John Blackthorne. The key elements of the literary saga should be repeated more or less faithfully in the original series Shōgun which is expected on February 27 on Disney+. The adaptation of this bestseller will be done through 10 episodes reserved for profiles over 16 years old. The streaming platform promises “an epic saga of passion, war and power struggle in the heart of feudal Japan”.

Yourself

Yourself (Or Self in original version) is a creation of Pixar studios. This is an original short film combining two different production techniques: 3D animation and stop-motion. Yourself will therefore be the first “hybrid” animated short film to join Pixar Studios’ SparkShort program. It depicts the extraordinary and intimate journey of a wooden doll to discover herself. But how do you integrate into society and blend in without denying your own personality? This quest for identity by director Searit Huluf will be available to discover from February 2 on Disney+.

Black Cake

Adapted from the novel by Charmaine Wilkerson, the series Black Cake will have 8 episodes to watch from February 7 on Disney+. The plot relates the tormented existence of a young woman whose actions will have consequences on her own descendants. The title of the series comes from the mysterious black cake left as an inheritance by the deceased to her children, in addition to a disturbing voice recording which will lead them to try to unravel dark family secrets. This family drama will span several generations, across geographically very distant places: in Jamaica, Italy, Scotland, California and England. Series Black Cake is a Disney+ exclusive.

Spectacular turn of events

Intended for spectators keen on police investigations, Spectacular turn of events is a film that oscillates between suspense, glamor and comedy. The events take place in London, in the West End of the 1950s, when a strange murder is committed. The victim is a director who came from Hollywood to sign the film adaptation of a successful play. But the man is murdered and filming is interrupted. The two people in charge of the investigation seem diametrically opposed: while Agent Stalker stands out for his zeal and feminine obstinacy, Inspector Stoppard seems to be one of those who is no longer moved by anything. But the discoveries they will uncover could well place them themselves in a perilous situation.
