Disney is making a million-dollar donation to Israel. Half goes to the central aid organization, the rest to smaller services.

The media company The Walt Disney Company donates after the devastating terrorist attack in Israel donated a total of two million US dollars (the equivalent of around 1.9 million euros) for humanitarian aid measures on site. The company announced this in a statement on Thursday. Accordingly, half of the money should go to the central aid organization in Israel, Magen David Adom. This is responsible for equipping ambulance, emergency rescue and blood donation services on behalf of the state.

According to the press release, the remaining million will be distributed among smaller aid organizations operating in the region. In particular, aid organizations that would focus on supporting children should be supported.

It was already announced on Thursday that the competitor company Paramount Global had provided one million US dollars to also support Magen David Adom and other smaller organizations. Paramount also said that the donations should primarily benefit children.
