If it is possible to play Disney Dreamlight Valley, the game is still far from its full version, since it is only available in early access. Between now and its final release, where the game will go free-to-play, it will introduce more content, with new worlds and characters, but also patches fixing bugs and bringing new features. One of the most requested features since launch was to be able to interact with our pets, and it could be that Gameloft set this up pretty quickly.

In a poll posted on Twitter by the game’s official account, the community is asked if they would like the ability to interact with in-game pets.
But this survey has nothing to do with a real request, since the only answers are “Yes”, with a “Yes (in next update)”. What suggest that this feature is well in the pipes. It could therefore arrive as soon as the October update, which should take place soon.
