A big bugfix update has just been deployed on Disney Dreamlight Valley. In particular, it brings a better rate of obtaining dream shards, better optimization on the Nintendo Switch and corrections to many quests.

Disney Dreamlight Valley has been released since Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Early Access on all platforms. The opportunity for you to discover this magical world and restore it by finding lost Disney and Pixar characters. All means are good: whether it’s exploring the open world by unlocking the passages of nocturnal thorns thanks to the Dreamlight, or going through the castle and its magic paintings. Unfortunately, a few bugs tainted the pleasure of the game, but Gameloft was very responsive and today offers a big patch update.

The update was deployed on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 7:00 PM. It may take up to 3 hours for your platform to offer it to you.

Game balancing

  • The spawn rate dream shards has been greatly increased,
  • Each buried object (shiny hole) has a chance to spawn 1 or 2 Night Shards or 1 or 2 Dream Shards,
  • The awards obtained by feeding critters have been changed: you will no longer get flowers but you can now receive dream shards more often,
  • By defeating Night Thorns, the coal drop has been reduced but the Dream Shard drop has been greatly increased.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed bug #7, which caused some players to hang the game on the loading screen if they quit the game while the “Well Fed” buff was active.
  • Fixed the account desync issue that occurred when selecting Back at the title screen on the Epic Games Store.
  • Correction of out of sync problem some users in their profile due to connection latency.
  • Improved online reconnection during gameplay.
  • Improved accuracy of claiming Founder’s Pack rewards, granting missing rewards. “We will continue to monitor this issue and consider other bug fixes as needed. If you have encountered this issue: Completely close the game and restart it with an internet connection, then check your inbox to see if you have received a new message containing your missing items.”

  • Increased text font size on the Switch.
  • Increased menu loading speed.

Stability

  • Reduced the frequency of crashes on Switch. Further optimizations will be made in future updates.

Quest

  • Fixed an issue where quest items were not appearing in Scrooge’s Shop. If you’re having this issue: The item won’t appear in Scrooge’s Store, but it will appear in a random, unlocked location outside of the village as a backup. If you have trouble finding the item, please do not hesitate to contact customer service.
  • Fixed an issue with WALL-E’s “Shy Little Robot” quest involving a fire extinguisher not working properly. If you encountered this problem: You can find a fire extinguisher waiting for you in Scrooge’s store.
  • Fixed an issue with an item from Donald Duck’s “A House Fit for a Duck” quest appearing in an inaccessible part of his house.
  • Fixed an issue with Scrooge’s Scrooge’s Grand Reopening quest where flower pot crafting was not working properly. If you ran into this problem: You can find additional flower pots just outside Scrooge’s store. Remove them using the furniture modification mode to use them.
  • Fixed an issue where quest items were getting stuck at the bottom of the Mystical Cave on the beach.
  • Fixed an issue where Goofy’s “Fishing Expedition” quest would not work properly if the player’s inventory was full.
  • Fixed an issue where a memory would appear in an inaccessible part of Merlin’s Dreamlight Library.
  • Fixed an issue with Elsa’s quest “Just Like Home, where it was possible to catch a Glittering Herring too early in the quest. If you experienced this issue: You can now catch another Glittering Herring. The other will be removed at the end of the quest.

  • Fixed an issue where the coffers placed in the player’s house could disappear when adding new rooms. If you encountered this problem: Add a new crafting chest to your house. Your items that disappeared will reappear here.
  • Fixed an issue where players importing clothing from the avatar design tool could not change clothing or the clothing would appear invisible.
  • Fixed an issue where some Path of the Stars rewards could be acquired in areas of the game where they were not intended.
